What this site's advice and results can and cannot do

Smart Resume Analyzer helps you read and improve your own resume. It is a set of tools and guides, not a recruiter, a career counsellor or a lawyer. This page explains where the boundaries are so you can use the results sensibly.

Not career, legal or financial advice

Guides, examples and tool results on this site are general information about how resumes are written and read. They are not professional career, employment, legal or financial advice, and they do not take your personal situation into account.

Rules about hiring, discrimination, pay disclosure and automated decision-making differ by country and employer. If a decision matters, such as accepting an offer or disputing how an application was handled, check official guidance for your location or speak to a qualified adviser.

Scores are estimates from this site's own checks

Resume scores and ATS readability results come from this site's own rules, which look at structure, wording and how well text can be read from your file. They do not reproduce any employer's applicant tracking system and they are not a prediction of whether an employer will interview or hire you.

A missing keyword means the word does not appear in your text. It does not mean you lack the skill. Add a term only if it accurately describes your experience.

How AI-assisted output is produced

Some tools use language models to suggest rewrites, summaries, cover letter drafts and interview questions. The text of your resume is sent to a model provider to produce that result, as described in the privacy policy, and the output is checked against your text for invented numbers and skills.

Those checks are not perfect. AI output can be wrong, generic or out of date, so treat it as a draft. You are responsible for every statement in a document you send to an employer, and you should keep only what is true.

Examples are illustrative

Sample resumes, cover letters and bullet rewrites use fictional people and placeholder figures written in [brackets]. They show structure and wording, not real results. Do not copy a figure that is not yours.

Third-party names and links

Product names such as Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Taleo and others are used to describe the systems candidates meet. This site is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Their behaviour can change without notice, so pages about them describe general preparation rather than their exact rules.

Links to outside sites are provided for reference. This site does not control their content.

Advertising

The site may show advertising to cover its running costs. Advertising does not influence tool results or guide content, and it is not shown on this page, the privacy policy, the terms or the contact page.
